ecoworks reduces built environment emissions by retrofitting buildings

We aim to reduce built environment CO2 emissions by offering renovation and retrofitting with an energy efficient building skin. ecoworks is able to retrofit apartment blocks and increase their value by 100 percent and more. Our facade elements are already equipped with integrated windows, insulation and building services. Currently we are implementing our innovative solutions into an array of buildings in Germany, continually developing the product range.

Standardised renovation solutions

With serial renovation, we bring digitization and industrialization to the housing stock. We convert existing buildings with prefabricated thermal building skins. Insulation, windows, thermal insulation and living room ventilation are already integrated ex factory into our facade elements. We make renovations available and can reduce construction times significantly. Prefabrication provides significant quality advantages. We can achieve higher energy efficiencies and switch to renewable heat generation and NetZero. The buildings can generate the required energy for heating, hot water and household electricity with photovoltaics on the roof. Also, serial renovation can help to expand living space. We offer balcony system solutions and extensions of up to 9 full floors.

Facade elements

Our facade elements are factory-fitted with insulation, windows, thermal insulation and living room ventilation. In addition, new lines of heating, cold and hot water, circulation and electrical systems can also be routed across the façade.

Energy supply

We can renew the heat generation of the building to be renovated at a low temperature and therefore sustainably and, upon request, establish NetZero operation. The energy required for heating, hot water and household electricity is then generated by the building itself.

Basement insulation

To further reduce energy loss, we insulate the basement ceiling.

Roof elements

With manufactured roof elements, we replace the roof and cover the roof areas with photovoltaic modules

With the help of our manufacturing partners, we can create new attractive living space with a roof extension of up to four full floors on the existing building

Façade elements

Our façade elements are a technical masterpiece! Each module is equipped with sustainable insulation and is manufactured directly in the factory with built-in windows. TGA solutions and optimized ventilation are also integrated. Based on digital point clouds that are accurate to the millimetre, planning and production are carried out precisely.

For us, raising old and few energy-efficient buildings to the highest possible energy efficiency level is an integral part of our approach. A serial refurbishment of ecoworks therefore always includes a comprehensive energy supply concept, as well as the installation of the necessary technology, such as PV systems and heat pumps.

In doing so, we value your properties and calculate a scoring. 3D scan & digital building twin

The facade and roof elements and other building components to be manufactured in the factory must be precisely planned and manufactured for the existing property. The starting point is a three-dimensional, millimetre-accurate measurement of the building's condition using a laser scan and a resulting point cloud. With the help of this point cloud, the 3D building model is created as a digital twin of the current state of the building. This model forms the basis for rapid, cost-effective and integrated planning of the renovation project.

ecoworks draws on a special standard component catalog with more than 300 ready-to-build components. This makes it possible to project renovations for widespread features in the building stock with the specific requirements of the industry and real estate problems in the respective construction age groups. A standardized project process with a high level of automation enables an accelerated and recyclable process.

Our factory-made building envelopes contain façade modules, which already contain insulation, windows, summer insulation and controlled living room ventilation. In addition, a large part of the required building technology can be integrated into the facade as required. With prefabrication, we thus move up to 80% of the work from the construction site to the factory.
